This wedding feature is all about the details and the prettiness. The colors are beautiful, the setting was perfect and everything was decorated in a cohesive way. It was simple but it had an elegant classy feel to it. Her hair was done marvelously and the couple REALLY looked happy and in love.

I always think that weddings should be intimate and personal but for all you brides lacking inspiration, go ahead and "steal" some of the ideas because I think it is one of the most prettiest weddings out there.

Of course everything was captured by talented destination photographer Heidi Geldhauser from Our Labor of love. Hope you like it as much as I did!

DIY - Blondies From Brazil

Branquinho de Branquinha (blondies with cachaça) makes 16 pieces.

200g white chocolate, chopped

100g butter

320g sugar

3 eggs

2 tbsp cachaça (or vodka, or rum, or whatever booze you like)

140g flour

1/2 peanuts (I used Brazil nuts, chopped)

Preheat oven to 350°F/ 180°C. Butter a 9-inch pan and dust with flour.

Melt the butter and white chocolate together, using a double-boiler or microwave oven. Mix the chocolate mixture with the sugar. Add the eggs and the cachaça and whisk until smooth.

Add flour and fold until incorporated, then the peanuts. Pour the batter into prepared pan, and bake for 35 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbles. Let cool in the pan over a wire rack and cut in squares.

Ok, this wedding touches my heart because it comes from a special place, you see half of my family is from the Dominican Republic, from my father's side. I just Love Love Love the island. Since it is a just a 45 minute flight from San Juan I get to go around 9 to 10 times a year. For those of you that have yet to experience it, I strongly encourage you to first visit the eastern coast and experience a five star all inclusive hotel, then come back and rummage through its capital, Santo Domingo.

Now to the wedding!! I will permanently have a resource section on the blog especially for couples that want to do a Destination Wedding in this part of the Caribbean. Our first resource will be super talented photographer Roger Ramirez. This is a two part session taken place in Santo Domingo's colonial zone. The reception was held at El Museo de las Casas Reales which will immediately give a Spanish colonial feel. Enjoy the culture.....

As mentioned before my familiy is HUGE and this has given me the opportunity to explore very cool cities when visiting relatives. Almost all those travels have been between Chritsmas and 3 Kings Day (a strong holiday to most part of Latin America). I really like Crate and Barrel and arounf the second of January it is incredible all their Xmas ornaments how are put to sale, so for those 2010 december brides, this is the best time to buy for decorations. Sparklers!!! A great way to make an exit! Love sparks in weddings, it is a way you can become a kid again. Check out a great site to order them, Sparkle. When I ordered mine for my wedding I need them to be shipped overseas, something that can not be done directly but Libba helped me find a shipping company that could make it happen, so one thing is to find a product you like but when you get great customer service, it is much more worth while. What a fantastic wedding! Seeing their photos, I could feel the intimacy, romantic, vintage and classy feel of the wedding. It was all captured by the talented duo of One Love Photo. The pictures are more than great, they are just as I said before simply fantastic!

This wedding is so unique to the couple's personalities, because as teachers they chose the The Harold Washington Library in Chicago. They had the everything matched from card catalog for seating arrangements, bookmarks as gift and antique books for centerpieces.

The ceremony was held in Chicago's oldest church, Old St. Patricks Church. Stunning!

Jenny's and Andy's love story:

Andy and Jenny first met in 2003 as co-workers. Shortly after Jenny and Andy started dating, Jenny moved to Chicago for art school. After a two year long-distance relationship, Jenny returned to Atlanta in 2006 and the two continued to develop as a couple. On May 29,2008 (the four-year anniversary of their first date) Andy surprised Jenny with a sweet and sentimental proposal at home!

Andy is an art director at an interactive ad agency. Jenny is a graphic designer and she designed and letterpressed all of the wedding stationery. Visit her website.

Here's the thing with destination weddings, they are simply memorable. Not just to the couple but everyone who can make it. On this economy it can be hard to gather your friends and family and fly to a special destination but it can be done. When planning a destination wedding time is the most important thing, friends and family will try to incorporate a destination wedding with a mini vacation so they can be on with you on your special day.

This awesome, unique and fun wedding was sent by Artist Photographer Lauri Levenfeld from Zoom Photography. The couple chose Cuixmala, Mexico because they had the opportunity to be housed in one of the gorgeous Moorish Mansion along the cliffs or the Villas on the hillside with infinity pools perfectly matched with each sunset. They enjoyed horseback rides, a scenery that included zebras, monkeys and gazelles and of course their private beach for their wedding ceremony.

All i can say is enjoy....and for the happy couple, Kristina and Michael, very well chosen.

There is a new trend out there on a great gift for your husband to be. I think that if you have the guts you can go for it at any occasion. Boudoir gifts..hmm is it really for him or the two of you? I think it is an intimate gift that would go perfect on your room, and of course it is not the gift it is the meaning...I personally admire women who indeed go for it but mostly I think that the photographer is the key because for those photos to come out as they do he or she must create an atmosphere that can capture the true meaning of this gift. This wedding comes directly from the UK. The couple is from the US and Canada and decided to celebrate in the UK. The talented Zoë Lingard coordinated and designed the wedding and photographer Kerry Morgan captured the special moment. The flowers had a combination of herbs which included rosemary, sage and lavender so we can all image the great aroma infused in the ceremony.

The couple wanted to incorporate something very "English", so they had umbrellas and wellies...how cool...

Affordable Letterpress Invitations

Artist Heather Noss from Letterpress Light has come with a different approach on letterpress!! Making it more affordable. She can do English, Bilingual and Spanish only invitations as well because she used to live in Mexico and studied Spanish for a long time. Check out her great work!

She uses a process developed by her that is not regular letterpress. She overlays un-inked printing plates over designs that have been printed on letterpress paper. This way she can create the texture of letterpress, but don't have to charge per color as a letterpress printer does (that's a lot of what makes them more affordable).

How much fun would this be in a wedding with lots of family members!! I would go crazy!! Can you imagine this....From my mom's side I have 5 aunts and 4 uncles...from my dad's side all I know is that he has 28 brothers and sisters. Weird right? What people don't understand is that I'm very close to almost ALL my cousins. Weirder?Right? The other day I was watching tv (the news) and they were talking about how great Fraxel laser treatments are. A demo was done on a young male adult that had severe scarring. The before and after pictures were incredible. So for all you brides that may have an acne scarring problem or spots and wrinkles maybe the laser treatment is right for you.

The average person needs at least 4 treatments. They range from $500 to $1,500 the session depending where you live so when preparing the wedding budget take this in consideration. Also the invervals are between six to eight weeks. Between makeup and airbrushing your wedding pics will always be nice but wouldn't it be good if your skin looked nice afterwards?

Today is my fiance's birthday and in the past days while I was shopping for a present I went to the Swarovski store to see what was new. He is a very big fan of the collections and has a whole furniture display with a lot for their pieces. He has been for years building a very respectable collection. I found this cute dog, and right there I decided that it would be the perfect gift.

Since I had to wait for the sales person to wrap my gift I notice some very awesome jewelry with different color combination. A bride who does not have a clue on what her wedding colors should be can get inspired by checking out jewelry. Designers combine colors that a normal person wouldn’t think on pulling them together. Here are a few to give you an idea.

I received today in the mail 4 catalogs of Sandals resort. All I can say is super wow!!! Those resorts are currently located in Jamaica, Antigua, St. Lucia and Bahamas. A few years back I went to one in Antigua, just a 40 minute flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico and I can honestly say that I had the BEST spa massage in my life. (I’m a freak of spa massages so I know and can really distinguish them). After browsing all the brochures I would definitively say that I really want to try out one in Jamaica since I’ve heard they are the best. I remember we booked an all inclusive package which we will never regret since the bar was premium and the food was superb. Soooo for those of you that still have not booked a honeymoon or a vacation for that matter I really recommend that you check it out.
